01. THE FAMOUS POOL & SPA
Hotel Villa Honegg is surely most famous for its infinity pool. The real life experience is even better than the photos! I was a little afraid that the pool will be crowded, but in fact, we had the pool mostly to just ourselves. Most of the guest in the hotel are older local that enjoy the terrasse and fine dining rather than the heated 34C pool with the stunning view of Swiss Alps. The hotel also boasts dry and wet sauna, indoor swimming pool and massage center. We spent the entire evening between the poll and sauna without meeting any other person. It is worth all the money! If you are already decided to book, just check out this link for availability and pricing.
02. LUXURY INTERIOR
The hotel interior is simply world class. You can feel quality from every detail in the room and public areas. From the Hermes toiletry in the bathroom, completely free mini bar and snack and real skin carpets in even in the very basic room. Featuring a pleasant blend of natural materials and elegance, the decor and furnishings create an inviting ambiance fostering relaxation and a sense of well-being. The basic room rate starts at around 500 EUR, but it is worth every penny!
03. Amazing breakfast and ...
The specialty of the Villa Honegg is the ala carte breakfast served till 2 pm. This allows the guests to enjoy the spa in the morning and head for breakfast after check-out. The breakfast is delicious and to large extent sourced locally from organic ingredients. The only thing that let us slightly disappointed was the dining in the Villa Honegg. What might be fully satisfying for local guests will surely not satisfy demanding Asian travelers. The variety of food is limited and the Asian fare in the menu is far from being authentic. However, The view from the terrace can make up for the lack of creativity in the menu.
