01. THE WOODEN ROOM
The highlight of our stay was surely the spotless wooden room with a lot of character. Every single detail in the room was paid attention to including the toilet tank, water pipes, bathtub, working table, floors just everything. We especially enjoyed the bath in the bathtub placed next to the window with the view of the Central Business district. You can choose to have the breakfast served in the room, which was our choice on the second day. The bed was ultra comfortable. Espresso machine with the stock of high-quality coffee was a nice addition to the amazing experience.
02. SOFIA BAR AND LOCATION
The Gunawarman is famous for its stylish bar and restaurant Sofia. Sofia is definitely the happening place in Senopati with a great atmosphere that feels like from an old movie. If you do not have chance to stay in the hotel overnight you should at least stop by for a drink. The hotel is located in the Senopati area, which is close to the central business district but set in a very peaceful residential zone. Senopati is full of artsy cafes and stylish restaurant. The absolute highlight of our 2-week stay in Indonesia was dinner in restaurant Gioi. They offer Indonesia and Asian fare with a modern twist and it was by far the best dining experience in the country. When booking try to avoid the smoking floor.
